very detailed and parts fit, not too complicated either, decals awesome strong and dont break. i think if you get get decals for other hydros u would sell more kits, since all hydros look similiar now, i think people like me hydro nuts would buy more kits to make all the boats with different sponsors. i loved kit baought 3, may buy more. would like to make one with Pay n Pak if I can get decals jim fenno smyrna ga
Miss Mercury paint layout looks great on this model. Great model kit for the price.
This is an excellent model of the Mercury hydroplane that is true to scale and looks like the real boat when finished. It does require some modeling skills and experience with applying decals. I would recommend that the novice modeler watch some YouTube videos on model decal application prior to building the model. The main portion of the boat is better sprayed than brush painted to get a great finish. I would recommend Tamiya acrylic spray paint which is available from most hobby shops. Also the canopy can be carefully masked to create a scale appearance. Attached are photos of finished models of different versions of the kit from the same manufacturer. I highly recommend this model to the hydroplane enthusiasts
